Set Aside (setaside.tax) · Last updated: 17 August 2026
These terms govern your use of Set Aside ("the service"), provided by Setaside.tax ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
Set Aside is a planning and estimation tool to help UK sole traders track income and expenses and estimate what to set aside for Self Assessment. It is not tax, accounting or legal advice, it is not a tax-filing service, and it is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to HMRC. All figures it produces are estimates. You are responsible for your own tax affairs, including verifying figures and filing accurately and on time with HMRC. For advice specific to your circumstances, consult a qualified accountant or tax adviser.
You must be at least 18 and use the service for a lawful business. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Provide accurate information and keep it up to date. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.
You agree not to misuse the service: no attempting to breach security or access other users' data, no automated abuse or overloading the service, no uploading malicious content, and no using the service to break the law.
The financial data you enter remains yours. We handle it as described in our Privacy Policy. You can export your data and delete your account at any time from Settings.
We aim to keep the service available and reliable but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may update, suspend, or discontinue features, and we perform maintenance from time to time.
The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including as to accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, or that tax estimates will match your actual liability. Tax rules change and your circumstances may include factors the tool does not model.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for any tax, penalties, interest, or other loss arising from your reliance on the service's estimates or from any inaccuracy, error, or unavailability. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these terms or misuse the service.
We may update these terms; the "last updated" date will change and, for significant changes, we will let you know. Continued use after changes means you accept them.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of its courts.
